Refurbishment of Radisson SAS Hotel, Nice, France
Task– To oversee the implementation of a major refurbishment of the existing building, building services and interiors of a superior international standard 300 bedroom hotel located on the Promenade des Anglais, Nice on behalf of the owning company.
Solution – Develop, agree and implement a suitable strategy to provide appropriate supervision to reflect the owners and funder's risk exposure and maximise the value of the refurbished asset.
Methodology
- Review owners agreement and terms
- Assess owners risk profile and develop a responsive project strategy
- Agree terms and reporting format with the Project Manager (Maitre d’Oeuvrage )
- Review the project structure, design standards, scope of works and advise on quality, costs and suitability
- Regularly review the works on site and advise accordingly
- Assist the project’s team as appropriate to realise the projects objectives
- Consult and advise with the project funders on behalf of the owner
- Review the completed works on site
- Coordinate the collation of contract documentation and final certificates
Summary - HLC provided a comprehensive and cost effective service to the owner by utilising their extensive experience in hotel development and focusing on the issues that protect the underlying asset and deliver added value. In consideration of the owners limited risk profile on the project our staff carried out regular site inspections, advised the project team on the design and contract's deficiencies, programming and costings. Where appropriate, specialist consultants were retained by HLC to advise on specific issues to protect the client's interests and assist the speedy resolution of the project.
